Privacy policy

Dira Prop is operated by Dira Global Impex. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Dira Prop website and Android app, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

Account details. Your name, email address, phone number and city. You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with a phone number and OTP; whichever you use, that identifier is stored with your account. Phone numbers are verified by OTP.

Listing details. Everything you enter when you post a property — type, price, area, description, photographs, locality and map position, and the contact number you want buyers to reach you on.

Location. If you use the near-me feed, your device location is used to sort listings by distance. You are asked for permission first, and you can refuse and still browse by locality.

Messages. Chats between buyers and sellers are stored so both sides can see the conversation history.

Usage and device data. Basic analytics about which screens are opened, plus device and app-version information used to diagnose crashes and abuse.

Payment records. The order, amount, status and time of any credit or promotion purchase. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials.

Location and map data

When you list a property you choose between an exact and an approximate map pin. If you choose approximate, the listing publishes a blurred area roughly 150 metres across — enough for a buyer to judge the locality, not enough to identify the building. Exact coordinates for an approximate listing are not shown to buyers.

Contact details and unlocking

A seller's phone number is masked on listings and in chat until a buyer spends a credit to unlock it. When you post a listing you agree that buyers who spend a credit will be able to see the contact number on that listing. Unlocking is recorded against both accounts, so a seller can see that a buyer has unlocked their listing.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your card, UPI, net-banking and wallet details are entered on Razorpay's checkout and are handled by Razorpay under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations. Dira Prop never sees or stores them. We keep only the order identifier, amount, status and timestamp, which we need for delivering your purchase, for support and for tax records.

Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with the services that make the app work:

Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, analytics and abuse protection. Google Maps Platform — maps and place search. Razorpay — payments. Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery. Data may be processed on servers outside India by these providers under their own terms; our database and functions run in Google's Mumbai region.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or a security incident.

Other users

Anything you put in a listing is public: photographs, description, price, area and the map pin you chose. Your name and the contact number on a listing become visible to a buyer who unlocks it. Messages you send are visible to the person you send them to.

Notifications

With your permission we send push notifications about your listings, chats and purchases. You can turn them off at any time in your device's app settings, or in your browser's site settings, without losing access to the app.

How long we keep it

Account and listing data is kept while your account is open. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is currently up to eight years, even after an account is deleted. Chat messages are kept while both accounts exist. Analytics and crash data are kept in aggregated form.

Your choices and deleting your account

You can edit your profile and edit or remove any of your listings from inside the app at any time.

You can delete your account and its data from Profile → Delete account in the app, or by visiting app.diraprop.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your sign-in credentials, profile, listings, photographs, chats, wishlist and unused credits. Unused credits are forfeited and are not refunded on deletion. Payment records are retained for the statutory period described above. You may also write to us and we will action the request.

Children

Dira Prop is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Traffic to and from Dira Prop is encrypted in transit. Access to the production database is restricted, database rules limit what any account can read, and phone numbers are masked at the data layer rather than only in the interface. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password and keep your OTPs to yourself.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and material changes will be notified in the app.
